I began writing this song outside my tent at a festival, in the fading light with a red moon rising ahead of me. I wanted to capture the feeling I had in that moment, of softening into stillness and silence and experiencing myself expand with each breath. I didn’t know how to finish the song but took the advice of expressing without normal words- the end became a mixture of mantra and pure voicing.

Dedicated to dancing in the silence.

She sits underneath the stars, the wind in her hair.
No one around would even notice her there.
The moon is red overhead, she softens her stare
To see what's really in her.

Her thoughts start to dissipate and leave her alone.
The light from the moon begins to shine to her soul.
Her mind is clear so she can hear the calls from below,
Guiding her to find the way home.

All time fades away,
The longer she stays.
And with every moment,
Shes closer
Yet further away.
